West’s first final since we reached the Lancashire Challenge Trophy final v Southport FC in 2022. The Rob Turley Trophy certainly doesn’t count!
Tickets
The game is all-ticket. Ticket sales through the club and online have now closed. Tickets are now only available to purchase on the day from the ticket office at the stadium, subject to availability. Tickets purchased online should also be collected from the ticket office on the day. We’ve been advised that queues are likely, so get there early!
Prices are as follows:
- Adults (16 to 64): £12
- Concessions (65 and over / under 16): £6
- Children under 12: First child under 12 free with a paying adult, £2 per child under 12 thereafter.
- Children under the age of 12 will not be admitted unaccompanied.
Coach travel
The club have put coaches on, which has now sold out. They leave from The Bowling Green at 12.30pm, and return immediately after the game.
Public transport
There are direct trains hourly from Manchester Victoria at 3 minutes past each hour. The journey takes approximately 1 hour. Otherwise you can take a non-direct train from Victoria via Blackburn at 15 minutes past each hour. This journey takes 1 hour 13 minutes.
The X41 bus is also an option, which is every hour from Shudehill station at 45 minutes past the hour. Journeys take about 1 hour 20 minutes.
Once in Accrington it’s a 20 minute walk to the stadium. It’s also possible to take the 7, 9A, 15, and 59 buses from the bus station, which is a 5 minute walk from the train station.
More information about getting to the ground can be found here.
To return just reverse your journey. Direct trains leave 27/28 minutes past the hour. Via Blackburn the trains leave between 58 minutes past the hour and on the hour. The last X41 bus on a bank holiday is at 5:10pm, however, so if the game is all square at the final whistle you’re not going to make that.
Meeting points/pub
The Crown is right outside the ground, and is a great pub. The bar in the stadium is also excellent. More central The Castle is a good pub, and is not far from the bus and train stations.
Food
The Crown will be serving its matchday menu, pies and burgers only. The usual footie scran is served at the ground with pies, burgers, hot dogs, and chips. But, given we’re taking more than 900 fans, you may be best advised to look for food in Accrington itself if you’re travelling by bus/train.
❌️ No dogs allowed, except guide/assistance dogs
